The body of the deceased Minister of Cabinet Affairs in Unity State, David Gatluak Tudel Teny, was received at Leer airstrip by Governor Joseph Monytuil, state officials, and citizens on Sunday and later laid to rest in his hometown of Leer County.
Leer County Commissioner Stephen Taker Riak thanked the governor and officials for their presence during this solemn occasion.
Governor Monytuil urged the community to support the late minister’s family and remain resilient during this challenging time.
“The death of my brother, the late Gatluak Tutdel, is very unfortunate for all of us in Unity State,” he said. “Gatluak is the current Cabinet Affairs Minister, and he died on duty. I urge the family of the late to remain calm, and as the government of Unity State, we will continue to support the family.
