The Unity State High-Level Election Committee received voter registration materials from Juba on Sunday as preparations continue for South Sudan’s general elections slated for December.
George Kong Gattang, Chairperson of the Unity State High Election Committee, received the materials at Rubkonta County airstrip.
“The State High-Level Election Committee has received electoral materials from Juba,” he told Radio Tamazuj. “These include 1,300 registration books, 1,000 T-shirts, 350 caps and a generator. All these materials will help with voter education.”
Kong urged citizens to prepare for the voter registration exercise, saying the committee will announce the registration date soon.
