South Sudan Health Minister Riek Gai promoted the only clinic in Pochalla County to a hospital level yesterday. This will be the first hospital in the entire Greater Pibor Administrative Area.
The move follows a high-profile visit from health officials to the Greater Pibor Administrative Area.
Gai pledged to provide the newly promoted hospital with health care units, including nurses, midwives and lab technicians.
