Governor Lobong reappoints Oringa Godfrey as press secretary

Eastern Equatoria State Governor Louis Lobong Lojore has reappointed John Oringa Godfrey as his press secretary following last week’s sacking of Aliandro Lotok.

Eastern Equatoria State Governor Louis Lobong Lojore has reappointed John Oringa Godfrey as his press secretary following last week’s sacking of Aliandro Lotok.

Aliandro Lotok, a former SSBC broadcaster, was appointed in December 2020 replacing Oringa as press secretary.

“In exercise of powers conferred upon me under republican decree No 51/2020 and in accordance with schedule B(6) of the transitional constitution of the republic of South Sudan 2011 (as amended) and Article 99 (2a) of the transitional constitution of eastern Equatoria state 2011, I, Louis Lobong Lojore, governor of Eastern Equatoria State do hereby issue this gubernatorial executive order for the appointment of Mr. John Oringa as the press secretary in the office of the governor in Eastern Equatoria state 2023,” the order read.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday, Oringa confirmed his reappointment and pledged to cooperate with media houses.

“I can confirm that I have been appointed but I will officially be online with media next week,” he said. “Giving service to the people makes me happy.”
