Diarrhoea cases in White Nile State

Watery diarrhoea cases are reported at El Zalit village in El Salam Locality in Sudan’s White Nile state, amid concerns of a deteriorating health situation.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj yesterday, a local source said over 106 cases of diarrhoea have been recorded and recently killed about three people in the area.

According to the same source critical cases were taken to Kosti Hospital for treatment. He further revealed that the epidemiology and emergency department in the state ministry of health announced precautionary measures to contain the situation.

The outbreak reportedly caused panic and fear among local residents in the locality.
