Blue Nile villages bombed

An Antonov plane belonging to the Sudanese Air Force dropped bombs on Wadaka, Meikh and Balilla areas in Blue Nile state causing the deaths of approximately 39 cattle and sheep and setting fire on 7 houses. There was no loss of human life.

Abdullah Ibrahim, the SPLM-North political secretary in Blue Nile told Radio Tamazuj that the airplane dropped bombs yesterday on the mentioned areas killing 9 head of cattle, and 30 head of sheep.

He also stressed that citizens in Blue Nile are in poor condition because of the refusal of the Khartoum government to allow humanitarian organizations to deliver aid to the affected people.

Ibrahim said that Khartoum has been waging continual air attacks on the citizens of Blue Nile and South Kordofan under the eyes of the international community, and refuses to implement the Tripartite Agreement for relief to the affected people in both states, saying that this is violation to the international community’s resolutions.
