The Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis) has announced that its forces have taken control of several strategic military positions in the Blue Nile region, including the area of Al-Keili, following clashes with the Sudanese army.

Led by General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (“Hemedti”), the alliance was spearheaded by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) alongside allied factions including the SPLM–N (al-Hilu) and SLM-TC.

Rapid Support Forces (RSF) commander Al-Tayyib Ali said his forces had retaken control of the strategic area of Al-Keili on 4 November, following fierce fighting with army troops. He claimed that government forces had sustained heavy losses.

Al-Tayyib vowed that his forces would continue advancing towards other areas in the region, with the stated aim of reaching the headquarters of the 4th Infantry Division in the city of Damazin.

In a statement issued on the evening of Wednesday, 4 November, Tasis announced that its forces had seized several strategic military positions in the Al-Keili and Al-Keili 6 areas of the Blue Nile region. The alliance said its forces had also captured a substantial stockpile of military equipment following clashes with army troops and allied groups.

In the statement, the forces called on army personnel to surrender, pledging to guarantee their safety. They also declared their intention to continue military operations and advance towards other positions in the region until they achieve their stated objectives.
