A fire burned medical equipments and medicines at Twic East Hospital in South Sudan’s Jonglei State, a local official said.
Twic East County Commissioner Dau Akuei told Radio Tamazuj that the fire gutted the whole building including a drugs store.
The county official blamed lack of fire extinguishers for the losses. No casualties were reported so far. He attributed the fire to carelessness by some health workers.
