Zain Telecom launches new voice, data products

Zain South Sudan, a telecommunications firm, on Friday unveiled a new package of mobile products under a campaign called “Sultan Deals,” which the company says will make communication simpler and more affordable for customers across the country.

Speaking at a press conference in Juba, Zain Chief Commercial Officer Mohamed Mursi said the offers were developed after months of gathering feedback from users.

“Customers want simplicity, affordability, and freedom in connectivity,” he said, adding that the new lineup seeks to deliver “unmatched value.”

The initiative includes four components: Junubi bundles, upgraded Flex bundles, a smartphone welcome bonus, and a new commission structure for sales partners.

The flagship Junubi package offers unlimited calls to any network in South Sudan and what Zain describes as its lowest data rates. The bundles also come with two add-ons: Sabahak Zain, offering cheaper morning call rates, and a favourite-number option that gives discounted minutes to selected contacts. Mursi stressed that the offers come “without restrictions or complications.”

The telco also announced a boost to its Flex product, launched last year. All Flex bundles will now include a 25% bonus at no extra cost, usable across voice, SMS, or data.

To promote 4G usage, the company introduced a 6GB smartphone welcome bonus, giving new devices activated on the Zain network 1GB of free data each month for six months.

The company further launched Hedayem Sultan, an incentive program offering improved SIM activation commissions for distributors and point-of-sale agents. Mursi said the move aims to increase earnings and motivate partners.

Zain says the new offers will operate on its “superior 4G network,” with additional technical details expected from its network team.

Zain’s Network Operations Director, Daniel Loro, assured customers that the company’s technology team is fully prepared to support the newly launched products. He said Zain’s network remains the “widest, fastest and most reliable 4G coverage” in South Sudan, backed by continuous investment and round-the-clock technical support.

Loro said the company’s engineering teams are committed to ensuring clear voice calls, seamless handovers, strong coverage, and high-speed internet across the country, including remote areas such as Renk, Jonglei, Pibor, Leer, and Panyagor.

He added that Zain’s data performance—particularly for streaming services like TikTok, Netflix, and YouTube—reflects its focus on quality. “Quality is our identity,” he said, noting that customers should expect smooth, buffer-free browsing on the upgraded network.

Loro also highlighted ongoing expansion plans for 2026 aimed at connecting more towns and villages nationwide. “When we promise, we deliver,” he said, emphasising that the new Sultan Deals can only succeed because they are supported by a robust and reliable network
