Security arrest traders in Abyei

The Sudanese government said that security forces arrested a number of people in Abyei for trading and transporting goods to South Sudan through Mayom. Prosecutor of the Attorney Office of Heglig, Legal Adviser Faisal Mohamed Ahmed Hadad told the state owned Sudan news agency (SUNA) that he had ‘ordered the investigation for preparing to take the traders to court for crimes against the state and under an anti-terrorism bill.’ He said special proscutors will be set up across South Kordofan state to curb ‘smuggling goods to other parts of the state and across the border to South Sudan.’
