Nearly 4,000 people are currently living with HIV/AIDS in Yei town in South Sudan’s Yei River State, a top state official disclosed.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj yesterday, David Lokonga Moses, Governor of Yei River State, said the health situation is deteriorating in the area. He pointed out that the HIV infection was very high in Yei town with nearly 4,000 cases recorded mid acute shortages of medicines.
The state official called on health organizations to intervene as soon as possible.
