Two W. Bahr El Ghazal girls top 2025 Primary Leaving Exams

Two female candidates from Western Bahr El Ghazal State have emerged as the top performers in the 2025 Primary School Leaving Examinations, each scoring 457 marks, the highest in the country, to earn the Certificate of Primary Education (CPE).

Speaking during the official release of the results at Juba Grand Hotel on Thursday, the National Minister of General Education and Instruction, Kuyok Abol Kuyok, announced that Adhel Mabior Madut and Awien Biet Giirwel, both from Alel Chok Complex Primary School in Western Bahr El Ghazal State, jointly secured the first position.

“The top performance by these two female candidates demonstrates that girls in South Sudan are capable of excelling academically when given the opportunity and support,” the minister said. “Their success should inspire many other young learners across the country.”

Abol also announced that Rose Tartizio Fangrazio and Simon Sabir Mario, both from Alel Chok Complex Primary School in Western Bahr El Ghazal State, jointly secured the second position with 456 marks.

“The second-best candidates have shown remarkable dedication and discipline in their studies,” he stated. “Their results reflect the quality of preparation provided by their school and the commitment of their teachers.”

In the third position, Parek Koor Wol, also from Alel Chok Complex Primary School in Western Bahr El Ghazal State, scored 455 marks. Gatdit Chuol Gai took the fourth position from Mary John Primary School in Unity State, who scored 454 marks.

The minister further announced that Jal Gatlit Bapiny from Kuachjok Primary School in Unity State and Dhor Ariik Ring from Mario Muor Vision International Academy in Western Bahr El Ghazal State jointly secured the fifth position with 453 marks.

“These top five candidates represent the bright future of our country. Their achievements prove that hard work, commitment, and quality teaching can produce excellent academic results,” Abol said.

Meanwhile, Gai Malieth Patai from Liberty Primary School in Unity State, Derrick Magok Mayom from Venus Star Academy School in Central Equatoria State, and Majok Mawut Majok from Precious Academy Nursery and Primary School in Central Equatoria State jointly secured the sixth position with 452 marks.

“The students who made it into the top six positions have set a strong example for learners nationwide,” the minister stated. “We encourage all schools to continue striving for academic excellence and to support both boys and girls equally.”
