Jonglei governor reshuffles state ministers

Jonglei State Governor John Kong Nyuon issued a decree on Saturday relieving four ministers and appointing ten others.  

The relieved officials had been appointed by former governor Kuol Manyang Juuk, who is now serving as Minister of Defense in the national government.

The four relieved were Anguila Maluth Mam as Minister of Finance, Ding Akol Ding as Minister of Local Government, Jean Micheak Deng as Minister of Health and Ogato Cham Gilo as Minister of Cooperatives and Rural Development.

The ten newly appointed ministers:

Perer Wal Athieu - Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement.

Susana Lith Gabriel - Minister of Parliamentary affairs

Jody Jonglei Boyoris - Minister of Information and Communications

Nyang Chiciot Dak - Minister of Public Service

Dhanojak Deng - Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Trade

Tuong Majok Deng - Minister of Cooperatives and Rural Development

John Amuor Kuol - Minister of Physical Infrastructures

Dr. Angok Gordon Kuol - Minister of Health and Environment

Tut Kuony Nyang - Minister of Education

Peter Chol Wal - Minister of Youth, Culture and Heritage

In total the state government has 14 ministries, meaning that four ministers have not been reshuffled but retain their current positions.

The four ministers retaining their posts:

Gabriel Gai Riem - Minister of Cabinet Affairs

Mayen Ngor Atem - Minister of Agriculture and Forestry

Nyang Lul - Minister of Livestock and Fisheries

Rachiel Anok Omot - Minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare

Four new advisors have also been appointed including Ding Akol Ding as Advisor on Local Government, shifted from the position of minister of local government, Peter Kuol Chol as advisor for Peace and Reconciliation, Ogato Cham Gilo as advisor for Community Development having lost his post as minister of cooperatives and rural development.
