Eastern Equatoria State Governor Louis Lobong Lojore on Tuesday appointed chief administrators for Kauto and Imehejek administrative areas.
The Kauto Administrative Area was recently established in response to pressing issues identified by stakeholders.
On 26 June, Governor Lobong relieved Mathew Oromo Maurice as chief administrator of Imehejek Administrative Area, leaving the position vacant.
The governor appointed Lomanat Kevin Joseph Lokirita as the first administrator of the newly established Kauto Administrative Area and Atari Lino as the administrator of Imehejek Administrative Area.
Ustaz Ambrose Oyet, the chairperson of the Lopit Community, expressed happiness for the appointment of the new administrator, saying it complies with community demands. He, however, urged the newly appointed administrator to prioritize peace and unity as the key drivers for development and service delivery to the local community.
“The community of Lopit, as well as Teneth and Oming, are very happy with the appointment of Lino as the chief administrator of Imehejek Administrative Area. People are very happy with the governor for appointing him to that position,” he said. “All we need from the new administrator is unity because when there is unity, peace will prevail to enable the opening of roads. He should strengthen the relationship with his neighbors.”
Lino Atari Obiong, the newly appointed Chief Administrator of Imehejek Administrative Area, lauded Governor Lobong for the trust in him to lead the people of Imehejek. He vowed to prioritize peace and unity in the community and called for cooperation to ease service delivery.
“I appreciate his trust for appointing me as the chief administrator of Imehejek Administrative Area to go and serve the people of Imehejek,” he said. “My first thing is peace and unity for the people of Imehejek because when people have a peaceful environment, development will flow smoothly. I request the people of Imehejek to cooperate with us to achieve our goal.”
