Airo-Jet Airlines launches operations in Yambio

A new aviation company, Airo-Jet Airlines Company Limited, has officially launched its branch in Yambio, Western Equatoria State, expanding air transport services and increasing the number of airlines operating in the state.

Speaking during the launch, Yambio Branch Station Manager Taban Charles said the company has begun operations in Yambio with scheduled flights every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. He added that the airline is offering affordable one-way tickets at US$140.

“Our company is Airo-Jet Airlines, and we are selling and booking tickets at an affordable price of US$140,” he said.

Airo-Jet Airlines staff member Nathana Ezkiel said they will improve transportation between Juba and Yambio and provide reliable services to passengers, business people, humanitarian organizations, and government institutions.

“This company will benefit the community, traders, humanitarian organizations, and the government by providing quality air transport services,” he said. “The presence of another airline will also create healthy competition that will improve services.”

Khot Kuany, another staff member, described Airo-Jet Airlines as a well-established airline serving different parts of South Sudan. He said passengers will receive quality customer care, including complimentary snacks and drinking water during flights.

“We are committed to providing safe, reliable, and affordable services. Our flights operate on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday,” he stated. “We also provide snacks and water for passengers, and our main offices are located at Juba International Airport.”

Meanwhile, Ayen Maker, a ticketing officer with Airo-Jet Airlines, said the company decided to open a branch in Yambio because of the growing demand for air travel and its strong relationship with the people of the state.

“We are happy to launch our services in Yambio and look forward to serving the people of Western Equatoria with reliable air transport,” she said.

Residents welcomed the arrival of the new airline, saying it will improve travel options and reduce transport costs.

Khamis Gabriel, a resident of Yambio, said the new fare of US$140 is more affordable than previous ticket prices and will benefit many travelers.

“The price is good and will help many people in Western Equatoria, and we hope the airline delivers the quality services it has promised,” Gabriel said.

Another resident, Gordon Misa, urged the company to maintain professionalism and treat customers with respect.

“We welcome Airo-Jet Airlines to Yambio. We need transparency, quality services, and good customer care for our community,” Misa said.

Airo-Jet Airlines said it is committed to providing safe, reliable, and affordable air transport services and has encouraged travelers to book their flights through its newly opened office in Yambio.
