Armed militia attacked a farmer on his farm in a government-controlled area of South Kordofan, killing him and stealing money and cattle. Sheikh Abdul Majid, who owned an agricultural project east of Abbasiya, was killed mid week.

Sources said that the robbers took 60 thousand pounds and several cattle. Authorities were notified to pursue the perpetrators. They arrested approximately 30 suspects but released them the following day without completing their investigations.
