Teachers at Al Nour School in Doro Camp for refugees from Blue Nile have complained of the poor facilities and lack of teaching materials.
Alrieh Noreen, a teacher at Al Nour School said that the school’s problems include absence of textbooks, lack of seating for students and the lack of classrooms to accommodate all the students.
He explained that the classrooms are overcrowded in violation of the educational standards, affecting the ability of the students to absorb and understand lessons.
Noreen also mentioned the duplication of curriculum, where he stated that the school is using two curriculums in teaching: both English-language curriculum and the Arabic-language curriculum of the Republic of Sudan.
