The minister Ali Karti said the visit was to show Khartoum’s intention to normalise relations with Juba and avoid returning to war. Karti said the foreign ministry is still involved in trying to resolve the outstanding issues between the two countries, and there is a need for an extension of months or a year to reach agreements.
